I have a bikini top and half doors so there fore my jeep gets rained in. I have carpet with padding and it seems to stay wet for days. There are drain holes in my floor but they don't seem to help. I really want to keep the carpet in it.

I'd get rid of the padding. I used to drive a Suzuki Sidekick without the rear part of the top. My carpet would dry pretty quickly, but I didn't have any padding acting like a sponge.

The wet carpet will speed up rusting of the floors. My po had shag carpet and never drove the cj in rain. When I pulled up the carpet there was some surface rust just because of the moisture. I would consider a bedliner or some kind of carpet that will not hold in the moisture.

Maybe I'll do that I'll hang onto it till summer

It might get worse with time. If you really want the carpet, I would see about at least pulling the pad out. You could always just go with some nice floor mats if you want the carpet underfoot, IMO.

This won't be too expensive Dear! That's what I keep saying. Over and over again.

I did a resto on this jeep last year and I sprayed bedliner both in the tub and the bottom side. I'm not worried about rust. I think I'm gonna pull the pad out and leave the carpet. Thanks yall
