It's missing a lot TBH. They came on a wide variety of vehicles. For instance a 72 bronco with the 302 and many more

That is a fantastic carb. A 2100 is great to work with. You can add a choke.
Please see these for an in depth article and parts list. We have many more in our documents section.

The Tag looks like it has a Ford Part Number. It was Remanufactured by a Rebuilder for OEM companies. Fred Jones Mfg.

Those Cable Brackets look like it has a Manual Choke set up.
Good News, Getting a Rebuild with that Tag Number is going to save you a lot of headaches.

And my Nickel.95 on working on Carburetors.......find a BIG Cardboard BOX to work inside
on it. Kinda like a blast cabinet.
Its Surprising what Tiny Little Springs, Check Balls, One Off Clips, will come Rocketing Out !!

And check out those sites CJ has..... learn from others experiences (Mistakes)

Yeah, I noted that as well. This was a Facebook marketplace buy for $40. Do you think I could buy a cheap Chinese knock off and rob the hard parts off of it?

I appreciate the tips and tricks.

Another thing, I couldn’t find a matching rebuild kit on mikescarburetor.com. Granted, a lot of the rebuild kits are the same. But I couldn’t find one specifically for a “D3TZ” carb.

I want to regroup. The carb you posted is a great carb.
What is next?

A Rebuild. I want to completely disassemble it, get a decent rebuild kit and figure out what all parts i need to convert it to an electric choke. It seems like the choke flap/rod is bent as well. I was wondering if i could get a cheap chinese carb and use the hard parts (I.E. choke flap/rod, accel pump rod) and use them as replacements for this carb.

It was hard to find a Mc2100 with 1.08 venturi’s so i’d like to do all i can to make this work.

Motorcraft 2100 2bbl carb is what came on my 1975 CJ5 with the AMC 304 V8... that being said I don't remember what size venturi I used. The last time it got rebuilt was probably over 30 years ago.

I have a 1978 CJ5 , also with the AMC 304 V8, that apparently had the MC 2100 2 bbl stock. When I bought this though, the PO has a Holley 2300 500 CFM carb on it, so I was gifted an upgrade. I've heard the 2100's are okay, but a lot of people have upgraded to a Holley or Weber. Not sure how well this translates to a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l i6.

I ran a 2100 for 15 years before switching to Holley sniper EFI. Love the EFI especially in the cold dark of winter

How do you like the Holley? How is it off-road?

I have not had it off road yet, but getting it started was not an issue. PO used this rig as a full time mud run vehicle and I am still fixing it up to get it moving (clutch) I did carb rebuild and it sounds very healthy and they seem pretty easy to work on. It starts up easy and it's easy to adjust. I have 1 vacuum leak to fix, but even with that it ran decent.

My particular model did not have any choke parts on it at all, so I have had to source some electric choke parts, but you also have to be careful which ones you order because there are a few types of the 2300 and it matters. If you went sniper EFI, that obviously would not matter a much.
