What did you do to or with your CJ today?
... I am wondering if I am still going to get better mileage than the CJ carrying this and pulling the car trailer.:D

I'd like to know the answer to that too.

Nice tent!

I finished the summer-long engine replacement project. Installed the Holley 1946 carb....purrs like a kitten.

Cruise Control, on to heated seats this weekend!

Does shoveling gravel and installing lights in the barn so I can work on mine count?

Texted the shop foreman to see when it would be done.

This is my first post so easy on me.Well I shook a rattle can of flat black and touched up all the colors that came thru my rattle can paint job from last year  I then removed a leaf from the rear spring packs to help balance the compression. Mounted a fuel can in the back. Now its time for some football. :chug:

I have a rattle can paint job with a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . You get a free pass just for the 401. :D But we need pics.

Assisted while a local club member welded patches to my frame. And then we replaced the wheel cylinder. Then we also welded the rear pins of the TJ uppers that I had cut to fit last year. They are now finally part of the uppers again.

Need to order the new brake line with splitter and install before I can pass inspection.

Painted the inside of my frame with Eastwood's Interior Frame Coating. Two cans was just enough, cleaned up the overspray with Eastwood PRE. There was still some blast media inside the frame so I stood it up against my garage to blow it out before painting.

Well, today the CJ failed emissions. Errrrrr, last year it passed with flying colors, this year, even though it's in over all better condition. With a professionally rebuilt carburetor and some other fine tuning. It failed, Errrrrrr. This time I have to get a professional to work on her. The fines start on the first of November.

New downpipe, and removed the catalytic converter...

had the carb. fiddled with by a professional carb. fiddler. A new vacuum port cap was cracked and sucking air. The system was running VERY rich, so the carb was leaned out quite a bit. They didn't really want to charge me, but had to do a $60 minimum shop charge. Not bad considering they dropped my off at work and picked e up again. Now lets see if it passes emissions ..... and lets see about mileage, probably won't see much change, you never know.

"Installed" an access panel over the fuel sending unit, and also swapped out the sending units. (Fuel gauge works!!)

Cool. Got pics?

My winter 'to-do' list is growing like my kid's Christmas wish-list. We'll see whose is the shortest by Spring.

Yeah, took pics.....something I'm learning to remember to do! I'll post them tonight, in the appropriate area.

Replaced the leaking low pressure power steering hose. Just took it for a test drive and it's good.

Also Took the trashed bellhousing off of my T-18 . Still trying to get the Dana 20 separated. Have a rusted bolt that is confounding me
