Tearing out about a mile of added on electrical wiring for air horns, a siren, fog lamps etc. Went through the stock wiring and still have some things to figure out why he did what he did. This will involve removing the dash to do correctly. But the stock wiring harness is really luckily in nice shape. Removed the dealer installed AC unit from the interior.

I'm in the process now after removing all unwanted wiring of tearing down the steering column. The key cylinder won't rotate back into the lock position due to the lever not moving. Almost there. Tomorrow should be.done.

Yesterday, I reinstalled the spare tire/gas can carrier. Tore all the original carpeting out except from under the rear seat. Rusty bolts I'll deal with. Removed the ancient fog lamps. Removed this huge grill guard off the front bumper. New battery cables.

Bought new tub and other metal parts...now onto obsessing about what is next!

Where did you get your tub? Is it brand new or a used one? If new, have you looked at the holes you'll need to drill and the mounting locations?

Standard OMIX-ADA full kit from CSEoffroad.com. When the original tub comes off many of the body mounts will need rebuilt...

I am going against everything I have ever done on my CJ and having a shop do it. For more reasons than I can count it is the right thing to do. They have done numerous CJ restorations and is what they recommended.

Paint decision needs to happen today or this weekend...and it is killing me. I hate for the budget to decide it. That is an awesome color...what other colors where you thinking?

I was initially going for a burnt orange pearl, but at the last minute decided to go with the carbon bronze. We agonized over it for months. My painter had done one in the carbon bronze last year and every time I went over there I drooled over it. So hard to decide without actually seeing it on a vehicle.

I've got more photos of the carbon bronze on my blog.

Ordered shocks and stabilizer... went with OEM ride quality after reading many posts KYB GR2 front and rear and Monroe Magnum OEM stabilizer.

Decided to not reinstall padded dash, black gauge panel, or radio for now. Ordered a black wiper motor cover and a radio kill panel; both by Omix. Couldn't find Crown units.

Decided not to mount center caps on the wheels. Going to try to paint the Dana 44 hub and the front locker hubs black. Now I've got to paint the hub opening in the wheels.

I'm going 'naked'...

Writing that down. I was not going to repaint the jeep. But after I seen that paint, I think I might change my mind.

Forgot to ask, that a two phase paint or single?

I checked it out - looks fantastic.

Problem is I have red interior and want to keep that...so it helps limit me too.

Just came from the Jeep dealership to see colors. Rhino and Granite Crystal Metallic are leading thus far...always thought I wanted to do a matte charcoal/grey like the Icon Bronco's...

Rhino - https://cdn.rubitrux.com/media/cata...on-rhino-37-1350-17-toyo-open--country-rt.jpg

Granite Crystal - http://homelol.net/wp-content/uploa...crystal-metallic-clearcoat-exterior-paint.jpg

Satin Grey - http://car-from-uk.com/ebay/carphotos/full/ebay1030647.jpg

I have at least a month to decide according to my painter this morning...not sure if that helps or hurts because I wasn't considering Rhino until now!

Looks like that Rhino has a lot of blue in it... IMHO the grays look better with red. That satin is cool and different looking... wonder how the upkeep is on it... FWIW, I'm an accredited ASID designer with a good knowledge of color. Gotta do what pulls the heart strings though.

If I can sell my OEM CJ embossed seats, I may go with the Corbeau tan or spice... cooler in the sun and picks up any brown in the paint.
