If it is latex, and it hasn't been on there too long, you might want to try soaking the affected area by covering it with wet rags and keeping them wet for a while to see if you can soften the paint before having to work you knuckles to the bone scraping, and inevitably scratching the finish.

Agreed. Saturate it however you can. Should come off relatively easily.

There was a post in that thread about bathing the car in the blood of the perp - thought that might not be as effective as the one I posted LOL.

Thanks for making me laugh. By the way, someone in my family asked if it was blood when they saw it.

I went to college with another CJ guy who had hit stereo stolen three times - they would grab the back of the stereo from underneath, pull to bow the dash, and remove. He rigged up a sleeve around the back of the unit, added a couple mouse trap springs, and a row of single edge razor blades. The fourth attempt was unsuccessful....... his Jeep looked similar to yours but with a lot more red......... they left the tops of four fingers in the floorboard......... try that today and you will go to jail, but back then, the cops just said they would watch the hospitals..... found out it was the same dude all four times........ amazing the pic you posted took me back 30 years instantly!!

I don't know where you were when this happened, but a lot of places have surveillance cameras in their parking lots if you want to catch whoever did this. When my son in law had his bran new Tundra keyed at Home Depot, they let him look at the videos. Unfortunately, his truck was about 6 feet out of camera range.

I doubt I would go to the extreme of slicing off fingers, but i do have my stereo locked in the console.

As for the cameras, I have contacted the restaurant, but they do not have coverage. The property management company has cameras as well. I am talking to them now.

I've had 2 knuckle heads attack my jeep on 2 different times. 1 tossed a metal shaft off the top of an interstate overpass and slam into my hood / grill area. Thought a bomb went off when it happened. The other one was breaking out windows in cars with bottles. Broke my soft top plastic window after a few tries

A lot of ignorance for sure.

Awesome day. Loved that feeling.

Very awesome! I've been working on it almost all day everyday for the past 3 weeks trying to get it ready for the CJ Colorado trip! There are a few minor things that need to be done but other than that I plan to paint the wheels black and drive the heck out of it.

Picked up my oil to change this weekend. Filter is on its way.

I chose this one because it has the highest zinc and is perfect for our older engines. Has almost 50% more zinc as the Lucas Magnum diesel oil I've ran the last 2-3 years.

That looks like a very capable setup. All poison spyder stuff?

Front fenders, rock sliders and rear corner armor/fenders are all CCFab. It's a smaller fabrication shop in AZ. Their work is pretty good and prices are better.

Thanks!! There was a lot of sawzall gutting and holes drilled in the tub. It was pretty nerve racking at first but I am pretty pleased with how it turned out! I look forward to seeing your jeep in Co!

Yeah that looks awesome! And great clearance now as well. So awesome function as well I am sure. Are you running 16" wheels? Looks like you have a nice lift/tire combo that should work fanatic with the armor.
