Yep. That’s how I do it. All within an hour. Front one on the rear driveshaft first. So I removed the driveshaft on the rocks. Went with Front Wheel Low. Then maybe 20 minutes later, the front driveshaft lost the rear u joint. The pic above is me removing the front and taking the good u joint from the front and installing it on the rear. Everyone decided to take a lunch brake while I was doing that. Then we got going with me in Rear wheel drive and I swear not a 100 yards away, the rear drive shaft lost the rear u joint. I gave up at that point (in a water hole too. Had the XJ in front of me strap on a recovery strap and pull me 2 miles to the parking lot. What a day. At least a friend let me ride along in his Rubi Recon. Man does that thing come really well prepped right from the factory. Another friend was in his 82 CJ5 in front of us. 31” tires and no lift. Skidded the whole way. Man was he capable, putting the JKs on 37s to shame. It is all in the skill of the driver.

Went wheeling in PA yesterday and broke 3, yes I said 3, drive shaft u joints. Yep. That’s how I do it. All within an hour..

I don’t know. It was pretty frustrating to me. I did not want to be a passenger. But my Scrambler said otherwise.

But based on the trails we hit later, I was kind of glad. So much more would have broken. I need some more armor.

Nope. Well one is still attached to the front drive shaft that is on the floor of my garage. The rest hit the garbage. But I do have the bent up straps and screws.
