Finally got my Jeep back together about 3 weeks ago and ran up the engine then. Feels like a completely different Jeep going from AMC 150 with Weber and T-4 , to an AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l with small cam and Sniper and T-176 . Also changed a lot of steering components, steering shaft and new Wolff bearing, MORE steering bracket, HD tie rod and drag link and tie rod ends, flipped to the top and some other items. Was a little over 2 1/2 years not driving it. Also got my new steering wheel on my brother made. Got about 500 miles on it. 7B07EBA5-9168-431D-8651-246370F6AE0B.jpeg193BFFEA-FAD4-4102-A82D-413E5FED3019.jpeg9F9AA832-F2CA-4218-9D93-1F20FBBEC803.jpeg6D0D0245-7F7E-4284-91CC-BC8CDC93E877.jpeg

nice jeep! we have the same valve cover.

Yeah was a long 30 months not driving my Jeep. Was a cool damp day today so hooked up a couple ground straps. Going to have a nice sunny day tomorrow so I will put some miles on.

After a week of overnight temps in the single digits I noticed my catch pan under the jeep had a rainbow of fluids in it. To be fair, I have had a brake leak and a power steering leak for a while, hence the pan. Cleaned up and inspection started, the underside of the old jeep revealed a bunch of needed fixes. replaced the power steering pump, pully and belt, and tightened the hoses, replaced thermostat housing gasket and thermostat (I now have a working heater again), relaced the brake proportioning valve (the reason for the slow leak from the front of the reservoir) hard to see because the fluid was going up on the frame rail and not dripping under the problem, replaced oil pan gasket and rear main seal (didn't even know that had become a problem). Noticed oil dripping from the rear diff, thought it might be fluid flow from the front because the diff fluid was full, replaced the diff gasket anyways. Gotta love the return of cold weather. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all!

Took a nice ride this morning. Sunny and around 70 degrees with the top off. Been raining most of the afternoon and evening now. Weather is on a roller coaster now

Maybe. Hopefully. If not then probably Colorado if you are doing that, or maybe both. Got plenty vacation built up before end of July retirement hopefully. What is the best way to get ahold of you? I have your email yahoo.com if you have not changed that in the last couple years

Yes, still the same email. We will be running Central Colorado in August as well. Hope to see you soon!

Made reservations for Moab arriving on the 16th. Have to leave on the 20th because we just couldn't have the miss's playing hooky from school for the whole week. She has to be back on Friday regardless. I'll take it. Sounds like a good time.
