What is my CJ Worth?

Hello jeepers. I have owned my 82 CJ7 for 25 years & sadly will be selling it. I am wondering what a reasonable price would be? Straight 6, soft top, not sure exact mileage because gauges do not work. Jeep runs strong, just smogged but has several minor issues, including gauges do not work. Driver side seatbelt does not click shut, ebrake does not work (i use a chalk block) the seats have small tears. Body is in good condition, has a few dents in passenger front wheel fender & a rust hole near the driver side door. It has a soft top that is in excellent condition. I live in Northern California. Well, considering most folks on CL believe their rig is a priceless classic worth 8-12k (at least in SoCal) , there are a few reasonable folks to be found at 3500-5k . I personally wouldnt pay more than 5k for an all stock 7 with no hard top and a small list of things that need to be done.

Is there a local CJ club that could help you with evaluation?

Based on your description, I would normally say maybe $5,000, but with it being a non-smog exempt California CJ, I just don't know. My California friends wont even touch a classic vehicle that isn't 1975 or older. Its just too much of a liability.
