i have a 1977 CJ7 with disc brakes. it has big wheels and tires on it now. i want to bring it back closer to factory. i have found a set of factory 15x7 wagon wheels for sale, looks from the date code they were made in 83 or 85, will they work with front disc brakes? thanks for the help,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

As long as they are 5X5.5" bolt pattern and the center hole is at least 4.25" to clear the hub you should be OK.
It would help if you knew the back spacing or what vehicle they were on before but I have never seen any that did not.

Any 15" wheel should clear a stock brake caliper on a CJ. Now if you've installed non-OE calipers that are larger (Wilwood, etc) you may see an issue and need a larger diameter and/or larger backspacing wheel. As CJ said, proper bolt pattern and center hole size and you should be fine.
