- 1986 CJ7 - 258ci engine (rebuilt) with dual outlet header, stock T4 transmission, Zoom high performance clutch, Dana 300 transfer case, custom drive shaft w/TJ yokes, Dana 30/AMC 20 front/rear diff (Alloy USA upgrade) and Ox lockers. Jeep was originally a basket case, purchased for $250, and I have spent over a year rebuilding it in my spare time in the "old school" way, with attention to keeping it as stock appearing as possible, but making improvements where needed.
Yes, YJ hard doors will fit on a CJ, but it does require a bit of modification because the door latching systems are different, but it is not extremely difficult to do.

As mtnwhlr says, all you have to do is remove the latches on the YJ door frame, and transfer them over to the CJ. You will have to use a few basic tools and maybe a drill, but it won't be difficult. Pretty much nothing was different with the door and frame between the CJ and YJ. In fact, the only two large differences I can think of, are the latches and the fact that the mirrors on the YJ were mounted on the doors.

You will need two of #8 on this diagram to convert your rotary door latchs to a striker for use with those door:

This is not the only source new and even Ebay is a possibility if the seller ships internationally.
