i guess this is when i should tell them "its a jeep thing, you wouldn't understand". i think my my next modification to the jeep is going to be gloves.:driving:

I keep a pair of gloves and a beanie as well as a rain jacket in the console at all times.

Leola is coming along nicely, can stand and walk on her own but is still weak in the rear.

She does physical therapy twice a week and acupuncture every other.

Probably another month of PT where she walks on an underwater treadmill.

It's been crazy but light at the end of the tunnel.

What happened to your puppy?

That's great news!
I was worried when there was no update.
She's starting to look like a $100,000.00 dog.
Good for you!

Thanks, starting to feel a bit like it the pocket book but she is worth it.

Not sure why this posted here, was having some trouble posting from my phone, this should have been on my original post about her accident. Maybe an admin can move this for me.

We have some great friends that also have Danes and work from home so I drop her there every morning for day care. We couldn't do it without their help they have been amazing.

Great news no matter what thread it's in. :chug:

When: You mispost in the wrong thread about your ailing puppy dog and it just doesn't matter. Most everybody knows your story and everybody's glad to hear some good news.

Thanks guys, we are so happy at the outcome to date we can't stand it.

When you repeatedly find yourself going out to the garage to put a tool away or take out the garbage and find yourself working on the jeep for over an hour. Then realize you've ruined your favorite shirt in the process. I have gotten better about removing the shirt before damaging it , but last night my very favorite shirt didn't make it through a short but aggressive grinding session. Errrrrrrrrrrr :( But love how the jeep turned out. :)

Hah - so true! It's about 1 degree here today, so as much as I'd like to slip in a quickie, those chromed tools are awful cold when they are beyond frozen solid.

Wooly

It's been down in the low 30's at night here in Tucson. I generally work outside, but lately the garage door has been closed and the temp isn't so bad. Usually it's, "I'll just run out with the trash." Then it's, "Hey, it isn't as cold in here as I thought it would be. Just a few turns on a loose bolt will be OK." Next thing I know I'm welding and grinding and thinking about the next step ....... and decent shirt goes down in stained tatters.

Not quite 1 here but I am in my garage trying to get mine to start. Hasn't had strong spark since it died on my way home Monday night. My hands are getting quite cold right now.

You know u own a cj when,

It's broken already and hadn't moved in 2 months, and the rear diff starts leaking lol damn jeep!

:) We go the other way but in the summer time. When chrome tools get too hot to touch it's time for a break, or it's time to drop them in a water bucket. Water works on hand tools but it's hard on the electric tools.

Hah, never even considered that side of the problem[emoji3]. It was -20 when I headed off to work this morning. I could have probably walked across the fluids in my truck.

I thought of this and had to laugh as I was in the middle of catching myself out in the garage late last night working in my PJs after everyone had gone to bed. It helped because I was very aware not to get any oil on my clothes and have a very aggravated wife.

you fall asleep visualizing assembly of some piece of your cj. True story, rebuilt a whole motor in my sleep.

when you drive 30 miles to work in 40 degree weather (remember this is sunny kalifornia) topless before daylight. when you get there everyone thinks you're crazy. it actually wasn't hardly cold when you get on enough jackets and gloves.

When: you find yourself spending twice as long in the morning shower, like Johnnyreb does in his sleep, working out a tricky assembly problem in your head. Most of my best modifications were worked out in the shower in the morning before work began.
