1980 CJ7 304 picture needed.

Hey all, Newby here. Just bought a 1980 CJ7 project that the previous owner quit on. Has a AMC 304 V8 that the timing cover has been replaced on. Waterpump, alternator, etc are all in a box along with numerous other parts. A picture of a AMC 304 would be helpful. Thanks

Here's my '80 CJ7 AMC 304 . It is a REMAN with less than a thou when I bought it on 9Nov2009. I like it quite well for the smooth idle and easy-off from a dead stop with the low-end torque. It has Motorcraft 2100 carb.

If you need to see some other places, yell with a personal message and I'll go out into the garage (keep the family car out in the weather); always looking for an excuse to go over the Jeep.

Thanks for the picture...I do not see a fan shroud on your jeep. Hopefully they did not come with them because I do not have one...mine has only a flex fan.

Yeah I don't think they came with a fan shroud. My 77 doesn't have one.

Excellent, thanks for the pictures...my Dad (r.i.p.) was one of the first Jeep mechanics in the Vancouver area..1955-1982..or so. He had a 1958 willy's sedan delivery and hunted all over Northern BC with it. Those days you saw jeeps or horses in the bush...always wanted a CJ. Now i have one. I have owned several AMC's including a... 1974 Matador X 360.
