I am looking for a little info. I just bought a 62 Willys with a 231 in it, it was a little tired and I picked up another engine. It was an eBay find and the seller didn't know much about it because it was in a storage locker he bought. Now here is my question, the engine I picked up is an odd fire and the one in it is an even fire. I did a little research and from what I understand you can't put a odd fire flywheel on a even fire engine. Can you put a flywheel from an even fire engine on an odd fire engine? The flywheel on an even fire has to be balanced where one on an odd fire doesn't, so I think it would work. An odd fire is externally balanced and even fire is internally balanced. I am trying to get all the answers before I start my engine swap.
