Hi guys, well I'm trying to find a rebuilt engine and so far I have found 2, one from Sanjetengines in Spokane and one from Rockauto parts.
Have any of you had any experience with either of these guys?
Sanjet offers a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty but also has some negative reports about failing to honor their warranty, whereas Rock is a a big online outfit.
The prices are similar about 1,900 bucks, any imput will be helpfull.
Thanks in advance.....Wayne

Youll find bad reviews on any of those reman companies. Generally youll be ok, but sometimes the engines just come apart. Ive seen wrong pushrods installed, loose rockers, etc. You could probably have your engine rebuilt for less with a local guy that wont be pulling parts out of a bin.

Do you mean S and J Engines of Spokane? I never heard of Sanjet Engines. If S and J, I bought a 4.0 for a 1994 Wrangler I had and all was good; had no problems but sold the jeep about 3 years after the install. I would buy from them again.

DHugg, You were right! That site will get you dreaming, maybe more than I wanted to pay but also it looks like they put alot of extra effort into their product..definitely worth the consideration.. I will keep you posted on which way I jump...Thanks for the info.
JasonMark1993..I can, like you said find a shop to rebuild my original engine, I'm trying to weigh time/ effort since down here in cali.(I'm from washington state working down here) I am working alot of hours and commute into oakland through the teeth of traffic so I'm pushed for time most days.Needless to say it my be the best option in the end..Thanks and I'll post in the future..
Saddle Tramp...I posted the name incorrectly it' sandjengines which is one in the same as S&j ...It's good to hear that your experience was positive, it opens up another option and certainly answers my original question..Thank You!
Will keep the community informed on this issue... Wayne.

Cool man. Im from Bellingham. Worked in CA for 9 yrs and just moved to TX.

I know you may have taken a look, but have you thought about any of the on-line folks, such as Jegz or Summit? I am not sure if they offer AMC stuff, but they are fast and ok on price.
