4.56 or 4.88

I run 35" federals on the streets and 37" boggers on the trails. I like to pull my 17' flat bottom prodrive to the lake with the ole cj and I do lots of wheeling at parks wanting to know if I should gear it to 4.56 or 4.88 have 3.73s in her right now.

I run 4.27 35" tires. You won't be happy with 4.56 and 37" tires. You need to compromise on the street or the dirt. Good luck...

I run 4:88s w/33" tires, but I also run a 5 speed tranny. Never use first on the street and love it.
With your 1:1 tranny ratio in top gear, I would suggest 4:10/4:27 R&P.

If you are still running the stock axles, the 4.88 pinion gear gets pretty small in the Dana 30 .
