Build Thread 40 years in the making. A boyhood dream.
It's been a few moons since I posted. Thought I'd play a little catch-up. Pulled the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l but the block was trashed. I guess It ingested to much water. The block was cracked in 6 places.

After shopping around for a replacement I found this 4.0L from a 2000 TJ with 103,000 miles.

With a lot of elbow grease, cans of cleaner, more elbow grease I finally got it spiffed up and presentable.

Added the BDS suspension kit, diffs, knuckles, axles, one new spindle, rebuilt the calipers and turned the 35 year old rotors.

The rear driver brakes were non-existent. No shoes, brackets or springs. Both wheel cylinders were blown out.
