Ive seen reproduction Nutmeg Laredo seat covers go for over $1000 on EBay already. Originally I wanted to paint it the Copper Brown metallic and redo the seats but for what I'm using this Jeep for it just doesn't make sense. When I do get to the point of having the cash for a stock restoration I doubt if even look for a candidate on this Coast. I'd love to find a clean Scrambler SL. :drool:

As for yesterday things just didn't quite go as planned. After working on the Jeep this long tools were spread out everywhere and it was getting harder and harder to find anything I needed so it was time to clean up a bit. Then we decided it wasn't safe to put the oil pan on while it was hanging from the lift. Went to put it on the engine stand but didn't have the correct bolts. So this is where I stand till tomorrow.
Well I was supposed to take a day off from the Cj but I just had to make sure that I had the right bolts to put my engine on the stand. Then I put my oil pan and gasket on ... And painted a pulley I missed...and pulled the fuel pump and painted it... Mocked up the motor mount brackets... Oh my it's 8:00.

With the pan on now I'll flip her back over. My garage floor is very uneven and hard to work with so I have to wait till my brother can help me Friday after work. Tonight I'll work on assembling the last of the parts around the engine. Just glad that it feels good to be in the garage again.

What are you going to use for 'break-in' oil in the engine?

Not so much "break in " oil cause it wasn't a rebuild. More like a regasket, clean up , inspect. Since Shells Rotella formula change I'm going to Brad Penn oil now.
Well looks like I'm done till Friday. I have the accessories mounted and will wait for my brother to come over so we can maneuver it into its new home. Decided to order a new carb as well. Last outside the frame rails pic hopefully:

- 1979 Jeep CJ7 TH400 Automatic 258 I6 Quadratrac Amc 20 rear & Dana 30 front, 32 x 11.5 x 15 tires. Currently a Complete Custom Rebuild in progress.
Also I own a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, White, all stock with 4.0L. automatic, and police package. Best part of that is it came with leather seats! This package also has the NP242 Transfer Case, 8.25 rear end, and trailer towing package.
