I use a 50/50 mix of heated water and simple green. Spray it on with the PW, and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Then hit it hard with the PW.

We use simple green a lot at work. It works pretty good but I only had to scrub slightly using the oven cleaner.

I would be concerned about what the oven cleaner would do to plastic, rubber, aluminum etc.

I use purple power with good results - the stuff is actually pretty amazing. Simple Green is a good cleaner as well.

I was using the Gunk line of cleaners. Couple different cans and I still wasn't done. One can of oven cleaner and bam, grease gone. In my case I don't have plastic or rubber to worry about. As far as aluminum I used it on the valve cover with no ill affects. Its snowing here today but will by 70 degrees by this weekend. Should be a good week to get some more work done.

I'm glad to hear the oven cleaner worked for you. I've used it in the past on everything and have good luck with it.

Well done

Looks real good! Have you looked into having the Laredo seats reupholstered to an original condition? I know their hard to come across any more. I hope my next cj is in more of an original condition, I'm with you on the nostalgic way as I've gotten older. Hard to find one worth keeping that way .

Looks really professional, Pete.
