Trans 81 CJ8

I am a new CJ8 owner. As such, I am learning all I can about this model. I purchased a 1981 Scrambler that has had a fair amount of restoration. It is the I6 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l cid w/ 4 spd manual and twin stick. It has the Holley sniper EFI. The attached photos are what the dealer had. It was advertised as having a rebuilt engine, Transmission , new clutch and starter. Based on photos I have for now, can you tell me what transfer cases and axles it has? I will take new photos when I get it back from having new tires (33” LT285/75R16 Faulkner), Alignment and exhaust. I would appreciate any information and advice you can spare.

That's an AMC20 rear. (Narrow track) Unless it's been changed. Transfer Case looks like a Dana 300 but kinda hard to tell from the pics

Welcome, nice looking 8! Its more than likely a SR4 of T-4 for the Transmission . Just an FYI, if it still has stock gears 2.73 or 3.31's, she'll be a dog on hills with 33's.
