RE: 83 CJ7 6cyl Automatic

Is there a gasket between the Tcase and tranny?

If so, any good resources for the same?

thanks

Most have a rubber ring for a gasket, but a paper gasket is often used too. Red RTV can be used instead. If you want a gasket try one of the big parts stores, 4WD or Quadratrec for example. Here is a picture of my Transfer Case removed from the GM Turbo 400 . You can see the ring for the rubber o-ring style, but you can also see the paper gasket that came off of it. I'm using RTV since it is a large flat surface made of aluminum. Rod

I cant seem to locate one one the parts breakdown on Morris 4x4 for the Dana 300 Transfer Case or the T-4 /5 or T-176 ….. I use silicone sealer on the mating surface, and some grease on the insude :chug:
