Past tense for me I used plastic air line as a spacer between the inner and outer halves

Oh ya I got some sweet parts from project86 today, I’m hoping to get a new power steering pump soon to stop the leaks. I’m looking at the 98 Durango boxers 3 turns lock to lock

Hmm, while hauling 15 sheets of 2x8 free plywood I figured out that the driver side bolts fell out of my skid plate and I only had a total of 2 bolts holding everything under my Jeep on the right side :0 my Jeep has less strange noises now lol

Let’s get to the most important question, when is the Wrangler decal coming off! Lol.

And that’s some impressive hauling there, I think our state DOT departments would lose their mind on that set up here in communist MA. They love to tweet out pics of the vehicles they’re ticketing for unsafe load transportation.

Lol I will spray over the wrangler emblem, I did stick the AMC emblem and CJ emblem on the back of the Jeep


Now I’m starting to think about where to mount my new hi lift

Thanks to Project86 I have a used power steering pump to install on my motor, I’m waiting on the funds for the steering gear still, I want to go with the 98-99 Dodge Durango box since it’s 3 turns lock to lock hopefully I won’t have to buy power steering fluid for a long time after this, so far I think I have gone thru 2 gallons of power steering fluid since last July

I've been thinking a long time where to put my hi lift. I really only need it on trips. In 36 years of just driving around my areas I've never had a real flat. Plenty nails and other road hazards but nothing where all the air is just gone so I don't carry it around here. On a trip I want it. Thinking of some way to mount to the roll bar or something like Bass on the front bumper or someway on the back.

The only safe place for the jack is to somehow mount it on the inside. My first mount was across the back. I backed into a tree and bent it. Next was across the inner fender wells. It was always in the way when getting stuff out of the back. Now I have it across my front bumper and I know that someday I'll bend it again. A friend had his mounted upright on his tire carrier. He snagged it on a tree branch and ripped his tire carrier off. I've seen a few mounted on the cowl. Not sure how I like that or if it's in the way when opening the hood all the way. That may be my next try.

I have an AMC 360 pump, pulley, and bracket from project86

And I just ordered a steering box for a 98 Dodge Durango which is a Saginaw same as the CJs with the same hose fittings
It will be ready to pick up tomorrow
