Since shum8 is talking about accessors I haven’t thought about in years why not talk about my wipers I bought years ago, now I’m kinda disappointed to find out that these wipers fit both CJ and YJ windshields grrrrr

I had the opportunity to buy a YJ windshield and passed it up for a worse CJ windshield because I was told this kit would not work on YJs

Well they weren’t kidding this was literally a 30 minute 1 beer job

Except that my pivot shaft was not installed correctly by the P.O. when they installed the new wiper motor from the junkyard

I’m not thoroughly impressed with the fit of the passenger wiper it’s still a little loose on the shaft, the driver side was good and tight tho

I much prefer the CJ frame over the YJ one because of the way the glass is mounted. The YJ frames rust out because of this.

Is the glass glued on the YJ windshield frame ? That’s what it looked like to me

Yes. they did away with the rubber gasket and started gluing the glass to the frame. So when it's replaced they scratch up the paint removing the glue and not treated right it starts rusting.

Well, you had much better luck than I - got the horns mounted, wired (even added a relay), hit the horn button on the steering wheel, and nothing. I suspect the signal switch in the column....

Finally got around to the front shock towers. Added 3 inches to these Ford F-250 towers , this is as high as I can go in the wheel well, I wanted the most travel I could get in my shocks with out cutting sheet metal

I think my Jeep likes to laugh at me, everything that is not stock has very tight tolerances
