Yes, but I guess I don’t believe the sellers when they say “Worked great when pulled”.....

Their "Traditional" set looks original...ish.

Lol stock ish, I need mine to work so I think for now it will be an aftermarket mechanical gauge like the auto meter, I will probably buy one from my local parts store in the next few days

My main goal for now is get it ready for title/tags/inspection and then Colorado in August so restoration looks will have to wait but I think I am also done with the electric gauges for now I have an old mechanical water temp gauge hooked up under the hood... time to move it to under the dash

I've got one under the hood as well. I do like the looks of the Stewart gauge better, but I think the AutoMeter will look better next to the stock speedo.

I agree with you on that, it has the correct colors for the 80s CJ
I think The Stewart would look right on the early CJs and MBs

Safe to assume the Autometer gauges will fit in the factory locations? Didn’t see a diameter on Advance’s website

They should, most gauges are the 2 1/16 unless they specify that they are 2 5/8

Lol I looked at the mechanical water temp gauge under the hood and it’s also a sunpro

for some reason the Stewart warner gauges have a classic look to them

They have been around since fred flintstone, in the old days you'd be hard pressed find an old piece of any equipment with a motor in it that wasn't fitted with them!
The best old school gauges IMHO.

It's what's going to replace everything that's on my dash, including the dash, plus I'm already looking around for old school push pull knobs for a manual choke, throttle and anything else that needs pushing and pulling, I have an old big truck manual throttle that has the center push button for a quick set, or you can turn it in and out on threads. Everything electric that goes on/off, gets a heavy duty toggle switch.

Oh yeah, forgot to tell you's...the theme for mine will be between wartime (yup, O.D.G), and bush, mining and just mechanical and cool looking equipment.
Oops, forgetting myself here, not my thread, but just saying. (green smiley).

Gert - dad blastit...... how am I gonna focus on extraneous :dung: like amps and speakers when you keep posting important stuff like functional, nice looking gauges?????

I wish they would make a replacement fuel gauge the fit in the original speedo cluster.......

Try V.D.O, they used to make duplicates of everyone's auto gauges.
Volkswagen was famous for them. Still current too.
My older harleys had them for replacements.

Hey Eyeball, you better lay off that stuff. You gotta get back on the road ! :)
Delayed by a day, snow crushed the building we load out of.
My own roof had 3 1/2 feet of snow on it when I got home after the last trip, log house,...strong like bull.
But I'm in the Michigan U.P now, sober and sorry,
but fat dumb and happy 'cause I got my Jeep. heh heh heh.

2 1/16". Might have to kiss the holes a bit bigger. I believe the OEM are 2".

man that would suck to have to sand off the Krylon i used on my dash lol

So let me ask you...was your decision to mount it there based on keeping it out of the weather?

Reason I ask is I just got a used M8000 off a guy that had it rigged the same way...he said he was worried about moisture getting in the solenoid

I was planning on putting it back on the spool till I saw your pic...maybe I need to reconsider

my decision was exactly that, its plastic and will weather in the Texas sun, i also want to protect it as best as i can from a possible deep water crossing and i want wire in a remote dash mounted switch to it as well
