I was wondering where you had room on the Jeep for a rotisserie.........

It's a new concept tryout, the item to be rotarized gets clipped in forks in the back while the whole Jeep gets turned as it burns.
They never could get rid of the oddball bbq flavor though. bwahahaha....sorry, got carried away.

Very cool man, what happened to it? It would be interesting to know what motor you had since the 6 packs didn’t come out til 68, I am building a rotisserie to start the restoration work on my 71 when I get my Jeep out of the garage

I’m so ready to get working on it

Rotisseries are the cats a*s when it comes to building a car, saves soooo much time and effort.
Building one is cool but that never crossed my mind.
I got to use one to do work to my '68 Camaro that needed frames tied, cross members put in, and the blueprinted 427 installed that still twisted it @ 625 HP, it was a lot for a kid to afford in those days.
I can feel your anticipation lol, I still get those "IWANNADOTHAT" moments.
And I still need to find a car for my 383 sbc stroker with the 380 offy tunnel ram on it like my '68 Camaro's 427 had but the exitement is waning.
It will most likely end up being a noise maker on a rolling stand with a rad.
Safer that way lol.

As for the Dart, I remember that the car was a '67, and the immediate memory was that the engine was a 373 or a 273, and the guy I bought it from said that it was called a "ratpack"
The six-pack was the whole reason I bought it as I had an earlier '63 Chev that had a 327 with a six pack on it and I loved the attention I got with it, never thought about oddball cars that could be worth money.
And in my mind, I WAS sure the '68 car of the same body type was the first year Swinger, but I'm not so sure anymore lol. Internet shows Swingers in the older style bodies, so obviously I have a few fused brain cells going on as there are other things that are just missing until someone mentions a trigger word lol, probably Alzheimers, at least I'll have new friends everyday If that happens.
Tried to find that same year and type car online, but it doesn't exist, or at least I can't locate even a pic of one.
So I'm all screwed up over what I had.
I sold it to a guy who eventually just about killed himself in it.
It also had a 4 speed with a reverse lockout on the floor, but no console, just a box with the shift pattern cut in the top. The car was a duplicate '68 Swinger, but in a dull red paint scheme and absolutely no pin striping or any sort of Swinger style tail stripes, just dull red and a totally black interior with a few chrome seat strips, one piece bucket seats and a chrome stick.
Now mind that I was an inexperienced kid from the other side of the world where toys were totally different according to mentality and character of the peops that live there.
Much more the British types of sports and road racing, American muscle cars and drag racing was not an item over there, we had 50 cc mopeds hopped up to the jingjang doing 65 miles an hour and revving at 16 grand, and what we called TT races, like the Isle of Man races and rallies.
Whole different world over there then.
Anyway, I fell off the thread direction and should stick with the builds.
beers.

Well, it’s been my experience they usually aren’t when Jeep work is involved.

How long to “road worthy”??

Brakes, gages, tightening all bolts, figure out how bad the power steering leak is..... not to long

Congrats on our long journey coming to the end you will find it so worth it when you hit that first trail and have a blast. You should be proud that yours is built not bought.

Looks and sounds like a monster... !!!

Well I think I found my exhaust leak.... remember kids stay in school and don’t do drugs lol

One should pay attention to which way the dog leg exhaust faces when installing gaskets

Also got to have fun making more man glitter today

Now I’m on my way to get the oil pressure sending unit water temp sender

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got the oil pressure sender, water temp installed and heater hoses installed after dinner I’m going to check to see if any more gages work lol

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wish you luck. All I got was a speedometer and voltage meter. Oil, temp, and fuel were no go. I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge, but I’d sure love operational original temp and fuel gauges

i must have had a 3 leaf clover because no oil pressure gauge and didnt run it long enough to check the water temp

i have a pretty good ticking sound to the motor so im going to have to look into that as well as everything else im doing, i have a feeling its coming from the valvetrain

I have a tick as well. But I’m not gonna dig into that till warmer weather. I’ve started half watching for a 360
