It’s been pretty ridiculous since we got back from vacation. Have had a hard time getting the rear brake line to seal to the MC, swapped in my old aluminum Dodge MC and started to bleed the brakes, I thought I had cleaned the bleeder screws on the rear calipers but I had to replace them both. It was really busy today so I hope I can get them bled in the morning when I get off work....

Man - I am NOT looking forward to bleeding the brakes..... I replaced everything, so this oughta be fun. Did you get yours done?

How was the vacation? Get any rest or did you spend the whole time thinking about what needed to be done on the Jeep?? LOL

And your snow pic - we got maybe 5 inches with that one, but about an hour south of here got upwards of 18".

Well I bled the brakes some more and would swear that I had a firm pedal so I cranked her up and found out that I didn’t have one so I bled it some more and I’m closer, it will stop the Jeep just on the floor. So I will continue tomorrow. I did however get the passenger exhaust pipe installed and it still clears everything surprisingly. There might have been some bailing wire involved lol

Also got a new gas cap power steering belt, hopefully it’s the right length they lost like 15 different lengths for a 79 Cherokee also got the air filter finally

Did you bench bleed the MC?

Well......... I was having trouble with the stainless lines attaching to the MC and I couldn’t find my bench bleed lines.... now I’m hoping I can get it bled without out disconnecting the MC

Well........ this is your problem.

By the time you get to my age you learn there are no short cuts.

I did bench bleed mine - and spent most of yesterday bleeding brakes, and still don’t have it yet. I HATE bleeding brakes.

I’m getting to the point of hating bleeding anything, sent the daughters Mini Cooper to a mechanic twice to bleed the clutch

While I am avoiding bleeding the MC I decided to do something useful and replaced the ignition lock cylinder and painted the top of the column while I was at it, not looking forward to crawling on the ground this weekend, we had 1 hell of a hail storm yesterday and it’s 36 today..... so much for global warming

Column looks good - get some cardboard - or a creeper. Makes a world of difference

And just an FYI - it’s not global warming anymore. That didn’t work. They call it climate change now. LMAO

Yep I have a creeper just need to make myself go bleed the brakes

My neighbor brought me a vacuum pump for that - it didn’t make it enjoyable, but almost pleasant.
