Well the tapping is back but she runs as smooth as silk now...... still burning off the oil leak, just need to get someone to help bleed the brakes now

Yep, when I built it years ago I shaved the the heads 60 tho to increase compression and this is the first motor to give me a problem with it, I need pushrods that are 60 tho shorter than stock so they won’t tap anymore

I'd be more than happy to come over and help you bleed the brakes.
Take the rocker arms out, put em in a vise, take a torch to em and bang them the 60 tho, re install![]()
Soon they will be borrowing it...
