That and I dont own the thing YET. My little brain is working on how to get it.:)
The guy who is getting the thing is on this forum. Mabe I should start a campaign to get him to let me take it off his hands.:D:D

LOL, you are trying...

Thanks for the info everyone. We are going to try just concentrating getting away from where it's sitting and not letting too much information out locally until we have it secured.

Will also get some pictures as well.

I was going to load up the pictures that Izz took but Whpserz are so much better. It looks like it needs a starter solenoid and starter. I think that the brakes are done also.:(
We do need to get it away from where it is at. To move it we need to get the plow off and find a toe dolly or a trailer.

It does have some rust issues but most of it is solid ( I couldnt push my finger through any of the panels).

Need to get under the thing and inspect the frame and check it for cracks and bad rust (holes).

and the back of it is insulated so you could keep cold stuff in it!

has potential. for sure.

Wow! None of my books show that! I need a new author!

Great info! :notworthy:

This is one great shot!

A full length steel hardtop CJ8 based on the Scrambler was made for the Alaskan Postal Service, using right hand drive and automatic transmissions. Instead of the rear tailgate the steel hardtop utilized a hinged barn door opening to the back. There were only 230 of these produced and sold in the US. This version was also widely sold in Venezuela and Australia as the "CJ8 Overlander", with small differences including full length rear windows on the Overlander. Jeep Australia (Circa 1984). "Jeep Overlander CJ8 Specifications and Dimensions". Press release. The steel hardtops used on these postal scramblers and Overlanders were known as "World Cab" tops.

2lost, please don't cut this one up!! It should be in the Smithsonian , next to the CJ4 . It would be like building a chopper from a Vincent Black shadow or a low rider from a 65 AC Sheldon Cobra.:notworthy:

That's a "Shelby Cobra" as in "Carol Shelby", a Texas chicken farmer turned race car driver.;)

Carol built , but the body was an English sports car made by Sheldon motors LTD.
We are both right.

I beg to differ, the car was called an A.C. Aceca Bristol. A.C. cars bought the engine from Bristol, who quit making them. Hence the advent of the Cobra.
