AMC 360, help me choose a carb

AMC 360, help me choose a carb
Wolly, I'm not arguing just for the sake of arguing, but I am going to respectfully disagree with you and say that anyone selling rebuilt carburetors on eBay is not a "professional". I've bought a carburetor from ehrmannmp and was thoroughly not impressed with it. It was a 1.08 bore Motorcraft 2150, I stripped it for parts and recycled the rest. The 1.14 that I bought was also from another eBay carb guy who goes by GottaFishCarburetors, it was in a little better shape but still needed attention.

I've also ran a 2bbl DEMON carburetor that I picked up from a guy on craigslist back in VA, it would make that engine scream, no questions, but it wasn't the right carb for a low RPM engine like the AMC L6 is.

I do agree with you, the design of the Autolite/Motorcraft Carburetor makes it an outstanding offroad / off camber carb.

Cheers Elwood - it's all good :). Now that I think about it I ended up with one from GottaFish and had the same impression with the one from ehrmannmp. I've had great luck with the GF one.

Ive heard good thing about these guys and their prices look great too.

Carburetors - Wholesale to the Public & Free Shipping!

Am leaning towards the larger 2bbl as I haven't had good luck with 4bbl carb in the slow speed, low rpm, off camber arena.

It's gonna be a bit until I get around to doing this though as I have other issues to take care of first.

Thanks for all the input and keep it coming.
