- 88 YJ with a CJ nose, 4.7 Stroker, AW4 transmission, Dana 35 HP front Ford 8.8 rear
As long as the Transfer Case in the CJ is the original Dana 300 it will fit. But that's the easy part. The tranny out of the 94 is electronically controlled.

That will be fine putting the 4.0 matched to tranny in cj also with wire harness just was wanting to keep factory speedo

Is the tranny out of the 94 any longer will I have to change drives hafta of mounts?

It could be a little longer. I don't have an old CJ tranny here to measure. Grab a tape measure and do some measuring or maybe someone else here knows.
