I just bought my first 1976 CJ5 ! The rear two piece alxe on the driver side was torn out and im trying to replace them with a 1 piece conversion. Can anyone tell me if there should be an axle bearing spacer and if so were to purchase one. thanks

yes there should be a spacer on each side, they set the bearing preload. (sometimes they need to be shortened)
If you need bearings, you also need to get them from the axle manufacturer as the bearing retainer is different than what the parts stores have.
I know Superior axle sells them and I imagine Moser does also.
