Does anyone know if there is a supplier out there that sells a complete caliper rebuild kit for Jeeps (mine is an after market upgrade "SSBC" that uses I believe early Cherokee/Wagoneer calipers) I'm looking for pistons/seals/slide pins and bushings. The reason why I ask for a complete kit rather than a piece here piece there is to save on postage costs (international) any help would be appreciated. Also if these calipers are used on other vehicles could I have that information also so I can widen my search. I have brought seals and pads before for the same caliper and the 75 - mid 80's Cherokee/Wagoneer parts fiteed. Just want to do a full rebuild as the jeep is pulling to one side and I believe it was the side I replaced the seals on last time.

I pick up mine from advance auto on line. My last caliper set I bought came with the slide bolts, copper washers already rebuilt.. I think rock auto.com also sells "loaded" calipers that come with pads also.

78 Wagoneer at Oreillys - $17 for a caliper and bolts. Can't touch rebuilding it for that. :D

Ok so looking at just replacing the whole caliper on either side but when I look on the RockAuto website under Wagoneer (I know there are others but was just using this as a start) I notice there seems to be a change in caliper somewhere between 1975 - 1979 onwards. The description given is not that good so how would I be able to distinguish whether mine was an early caliper or the later one. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached a couple of shots of my caliper and the brake pad if it helps.

Haha I see take the piss out of the Irish lad, well Ha ha to you too as I'm not Irish I'm actually from New Zealand just living in Ireland.

Seems on further hunting I did find the info I needed, seems 74 - 78 is 7/16 UNF and 79 onwards uses 10x1.5 metric, mine is definitely 7/16 UNF so I guess mine is the early style caliper, seems they used the same brake pads though? Why did they go metric, seems very early for the US to change fittings?
