I have seen Carter BBDs that do not have a stepper motor port at all.
When doing a Nutter Bypass, if my existing Carter BBD has a stepper motor, is it possible to fully remove the stepper motor and plug up the area where it was attached?
How would you do it?
Are additional modifications necessary?
Is there anything special to tuning the carb is the Stepper meeting pins no longer exist?

I think removing the stepper creates more problems that it solves. If I remember, the Nutter instructions say to run the needle to one extreme then disconnect it.

Thank you for replying. Actually, the instruction I have read in a few forums are to move the needles just to the shoulders, not to one extreme.
Regardless, since writing this post, I have actually replaced the carburetor with a Carter BBD that never had a stepper motor and this thing runs like a dream now!
