All the advice is good, but I always wonder when a problem like suddenly pops up. Your problem It could be electrical. Are you running an Electronic ignition? Probably, when ever a vehicle runs worse when it hot I think about electronic parts breaking down with heat. Either the coil or a module.

How cold is it where you are? Cold weather will expose problems you didn't know you had. Water in the fuel system will make trouble like you are experiencing.

It's not that cold yet 30 - 40 recently, but next week will get down to single digit highs. It did start though when it was still in the 50’s or higher though.

Electrical was on my mind too but I'm really just grasping. Outside of replacing the coil and module any way to test things?

Is just hard since it runs fine at idle and no load, just when under load after it's been running for over 20 minutes or so. And it doesn't even happen every time. Just frustrating.

Have you ever tried when it's running start moving the wires around? I did this when mine just died one time and I could not see why. I got it running and started playing with all the wires and when I moved the harness around next to the motor it died. I found a short by the coil.

The quality of the spark is where you might see a problem. A weak spark will fail under a load.

When it dies-How hot is the coil?
You should be able to keep your hand on it.
Don't be afraid to trace/clean/renew all of your GND connections also.

I'll check it at lunch, planning to go get a new coil in any event. At least the engine ground was cleaned about a month ago when I replaced the starter, which was after the problem started.
