I recently switched out my 1BBl Carter carb for the same model. But there is one port that my new carb has that my old one didnt. Attached is a picture of the port that my new carb and any help identifying where the hose goes and what it is for would be greatly appreciated!

Looking at that one where the arrow is pointed, it appears to be a manifold vacumn port. It would work as a distributor vacumn hose, or charcoal cannister purge port if you have one. If you have no use for it, then just plug it off.
