Dang that’s beautiful

More beautiful in person. I wish my phone took better pictures.

Good enough! Keep them coming

Poor picture but I took this at Mt. Rushmore. Two side by sides that are bigger than my jeep.

Got internet again. We're near Ponca Oklahoma. Heading for some tourist traps on Rt 66. The old west town and long horn steer were in Dodge City Kansas. The building and tank wagon were in Ponca city Oklahoma it was the Conoco museum and the classic cars were in Kearny Nebraska.

Okay we have met your wife and she's really sweet. How could she possibly end up behind bars?

Funny thing is that after she closed the door she couldn't get it open again.

Hey. I've got internet. We're at a campground in Eagle Nest New Mexico. Starting to climb into the mountains. Here's a couple pictures of where we've been. RT66 museum in Elk city Oklahoma, a windmill museum somewhere between there and here and a street sign that made me homesick. Thinking about a trip up Red River N.M.way. We're not to far away.

This is a great trip man!

:chug:

I think that we're in Cortez Colorado tonight. Should be in Silverton tomorrow. First picture is wifey and I standing at four corners. The corners of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona all at one place. Next is the Grand Canyon. We had a couple extra days and thought we would take a ride over. Stopped at the Rio Grande gorge for a few minutes and picked up a hitchhiker on the way out.

Today we checked out Mesa Verde. This is stuff that you only see in books. This is where the Pueblo people built their homes in the cliffs.

Wow, I hadn't realized how long it has been since I've updated this. A couple days after Mesa Verde we arived in Silverton Colorado. For the 8th annual ride. What a time I had with a great bunch of people. Some parts of the trails were a bit intimidating because of the steep drop offs on the sides of the trails. But after a week of trail riding even Black bear pass was a piece of cake. The rides in and out of Silverton, over the mountains, with the motorhome were pretty slow as I was down in low gear a lot. Some pretty steep and curvey roads in places. After We got threw the mountains I realized that I didn't have my trailer brakes set strong enough. Oh well. We made it anyway. Will try to catch up more of the trip later.

Going to try to catch up a little again now that I've got an internet connection. Haven't had it much for a while. After We left Colorado we went up into Idaho. What we saw was more mountains. I had had enough of the mountains for a while so we jumped on over to Oregon and up through to Washington. I didn't realize that the eastern side of these two states were desert. We crossed the mountains again to the western side of northern Washington and down the coast. Nancy got some great pictures with her camera but I didn't get many. I'll post up a few that I got. We slid on down through Washington and Oregon only making a few stops. One was to see a big plane. We hit northern California and the redwood forest and spent a few days there and down the coast we go again until Rt. 101 started leaving the coast. From there we headed East again till we hit Nevada. Across Rt 50, the loneliest road in the U.S. I've got to say that most all the roads in Nevada are lonely. A long way between towns. We're sitting tonight about half way down the west side of Nevada. Going to try to get into Death Valley tomorrow. I'm going to post up a few pictures but I can't seem to be able to describe them one at a time. The blurry picture is one that wifey took of Bigfoot. If you have a good imagination you can see him----or her, whichever the case may be. I'll try to do a little better at keeping up than I have been.

Nice picture of the Spuce Goose. Been there a couple of times. Beautiful country out there. I love looking at the red woods. Never get tired of that

Wow I knew the spruce goose was huge but you really get a good perspective of it in your pic

Boy did I find that out. Didn't have a thermometer but it was a lot hotter than where we parked the camper in Beatty. Jeep did good all day up until the 17 mile trip up the side to get out. Had to pull over a couple times to let it cool down. We visited a couple ghost towns while we were there. I think the model A is restorable. The house is made of olld bottles.
