Chrome don't get you home :)

Not chrome, but this looks a whole lot better than the rust. I thoroughly cleaned the valve covers, sprayed them with "chrome" paint, then clear coated with hi-temp clear. 2 years, and they still look good.

For sure!!! you did a great job!

I may go down this route. My covers got fairly beat up in the past (dings and dents everywhere) hence looking for an alternative. Some peeps on the CJ3b forum are saying that the buick 231 3.8l V6 can carry a lot of the 225 parts which is why I was hoping someone might know if these valve covers would fit/work?

If it's a 3.8l vrs 3.7l difference only then will this effect the way the engine runs if I put the 231 valve covers on the 225??

Valve covers not interchangeable between the two engines.

Does anyone here know if the capacity of the valve covers will effect the way the engine runs?

I've bought some covers which fit but they are larger (inside capacity). Will this effect how the engine runs?

Thanks

Oli

A valve cover has nothing to do with how a engine runs you should be fine.

Thanks for confirming that with me Mtnwhlr!

Definitely an amateur over here but slowly learning!
