Build Thread CJ-3B Rebuild
My biggest hangup has been the seats, Originals are the only thing that fit properly and goes with my resto but they are like hens teeth to find and rarely in great shape. What came in the 3b when I bought it was incorrect early 5 seats and although close the are just plane wrong, so after much search I found a set on Ebay that were repairable and pulled the trigger. After stripping the rotten cloth off and blasting the frames I did what I could to fix the broken spring steel and with my 83 year old mothers help(used to upholster furniture) I made patterns from the old cloth and have been working on the new.

What an amazing restoration so far Sasquach... I'm inspired to start finding these old jeeps to restore myself. I've ran across several while searching for parts on my CJ build, but passed, mainly due to my current work location being so far from home at this time. I love restoring vehicles, and have mainly stuck to early muscle cars, and these are so simple compared to anything else I've tackled.. Keep up the great work!!

Very nicely done. Very impressive.......one of my favorite Jeeps!

NMP
Made me do some research, NMP=need more pictures? OK OK but it's cramed so tight in the garage and with the wheels now off and getting refinished it's kinda camera shy but let me see what I can do.:D

haha yes Need More Pics :D

it looks fantastic. i found a 3b that runs great and has no rust but needs paint and tlc... i found out it used to belong to my Dad and his brothers when they were young. I think my uncle has tried to buy it back recently but the owner wont budge. i plan on trying to talk him into letting it go some time soon

Did you ever find a fan shroud or did you have to get one made?

Keep after him without being a pest. People change their minds.

I found a nice shroud from a "wanted" post I had on the 3B page.

nice good deal.

I have been told that im one of those guys that could sell ice to an eskimo or buy the kings crown at half price so it will put my skills to the test :D

Now I need to order up my NDCC tires and get it back on it's own 4 feet.
