Build Thread CJ-3B Rebuild
What can I say it looks GREAT!!!!:notworthy::drool::banana::banana: If you another one to work on I can send you the body tub from my 1960 CJ5 .

That sounds like a good idea but this afternoon I bought my next project:drool:, a M100 trailer 52 vintage-pics to follow.:chug: I think it will look nice behind the 3B color matched.

A matching trailer behind your CJ3 will look great. Again super nice resto glad to see you kept it stock.

wow please take a scenic pic of that thing when your done haha that will deff be the background of my comp. I have been trying to buy a 3b from this guy i know for so long and this makes me want to go crazy on him

Well glad everyone has patience. Got the seats completed finally and got some shocks on it. Was a bit side tracked with a trailer project that I for some reason thought I could not live without, the trailer went pretty quickly and are a lot easier to do without a drivetrain etc.
Anyway after months of sitting it fired right up and gave it a very short drive, I need to go over the undercarriage fasteners because some things I know never got tightened down properly.

I kind of liked the ventilated seat covers, plenty of air flow.:D
that is way cool!! something to be proud of:cool:

well Im only 20 years old. I have plenty of time to buy another practical CJ7 down the road and cj7s are readily available. I dont really need a toy thats highway worthy, I only want something capable of making it to the gas station, around the hunting property and cleaning up for the occasional local car show. My jacked up CJ7 just doesnt fit my hobbies right now. Id like to add a capable scrambler or CJ7 to the collection in a few years for sure! but right now I think a 3b would be more fun and if I ever need to borrow a full size jeep every male in my family has one haha. plus I dream of having a flat fender and cant wait to get my hands on one!!!!!!!! :notworthy:

^^ well my CJ7 sold. Im looking for a 3b now.

Do you have any tips on what to look for, or look out for when buying a 3b?

Also could you give me a ball park estimate on what it cost to restore a 3b like you have done, if your doing most the work yourself. assuming the jeep is in similar shape as the one you started with.

Sorry I missed this for so long. If your still in the market check the 3b page to see if anything is for sale otherwise they are hard to come by. I think I have $9-10K in this one not counting hundreds of hours in the garage.

:chug: very beautiful, it is nice to see one in desert tan instead of the usual green. My uncle has an WWII jeep and it is so strange to see the difference in technology. So I suppose the brakes work much better now? :chug:

Thanks guys, it's not military issue just gave it that look with a twist. You are right about all the additional stuff that does go into an M type, wish it was an M606.
oh ya it does stop good now too.
