This one over at Dream Four Wheel Drive on Corporate Drive in Colorado Springs. I was told a guy and his son had built this CJ and the son had died. The father was there trading it for a newer Rubicon.

CJ is lifting a glass for the family. :wasted:

Holy Moly, not sure that would pass my wife's safety standards. I guess it is an option though. The stories those kids will tell. If they survive :)

I had to install a full cage so I could have rear shoulder seat belts. It was the only way the wife would allow the kids in the back seat.

I was a bad parent and let my kids sit in my back seat of the Scrambler for the first year or so I owned it. When they got too tall for the headrests, they never rode in the back again. I took the seat out and run a halfcab.

Oh and I saw a really nice looking CJ7 in the neighborhood next to mine on Saturday. Was driving so no pic. I will have to swing through that neighborhood to see if I can find them and chat.

I can't help but wonder what people would say about the Scramblers we had here in Tucson with bench seats in the back along the sides for local off road tours. All they had were the stock roll cage and a lite top/shade. Can't remember hearing about any of the thousands of people on those tours dying.

Was taking my grandson to soccer practice the other day and saw this little gem. It looks stock and in really good shape to me.

An example of a re purposed CJ8. These guys get all dressed up in cowboy attire and cruise the Broadmoor neighborhood with tourista types. Never faster than 35 mph and never off road. Yee Haw. :)

and sometimes, if you don't see the dash, you can't really tell it's a CJ

Saw a couple yesterday. A nice white CJ7, looked like new and another dark one that was probably black at one time. On a side note. Generally I believe folks are becoming too paranoid and excessively safety conscious, especially with children lately, But I did find myself cringing on this. Yesterday I saw a nicely set up wide open wrangler, maybe one of those very CJ like YJ's with a small child sitting backwards in a car seat in the back seat. Mom and dad were in the front. Gave me the shivers, exactly why I'm not sure, but it made me nervous.

Circle and Galley in the Springs. Not many pristine examples, most seem to be DD. I have seen some Cj8s that appear to have been full restore but moving in opposite direction makes them hard to photo

The second "roadable" crawler that I've seen so far. It is November in The Rocky's so I'm not sure how this is will feel when the weather is less than perfect. The weather never stays bad for more than a week in most cases so maybe this all balances out. JEEP love.

Maybe it's just his summer ride
