While on the trail Monday we came across a camp/lodge in the middle of nowhere.
You could only get there by 4 wheel drive, or canoe.
Tom the owner gave us a private tour of his place.
Jeep paid big money to to use his land to shoot commercials while introducing their current new models.

Saturday: Heading for home

As always, we hated to say goodbye to all of out wheeling friends. We wanted to go another day in Colorado Springs with Bill D and Carol, Posi and Ed, and Shooby, but unfortunately both Oldjeeplady and I were both fighting off colds, and home is where we wanted to be where there was plenty of Kleenex and comfortable easy chairs. Also, we could start planning for the 8th annual Colorado Trail Ride. Looking forward to seeing Busadave, 007, and the others who were unable to attend Moab. This was a great time for all, and I was pleasantly surprised that there were no major break downs for anyone.

We took a short walk down the street in Moab before we left in order to purchase a few T shirts.

Got the Jeep on the trailer, and off we go!


Kind of crazy after near 80° weather, but at least we hit it on the way home. Shooby, and BlueRocket and Blackie hit heavy snow on the way to Moab.





When we got home, winter got there before us! We left, having near 70° days, and returned to snow!

I hope you can make the April 29-May 3 2019 Moab trail run, I enjoy wheeling with different members.
Yes, I'm FI. It was one of the things I was looking for when I bought my CJ along with a T-18 .

Hell's Gate, if your equipment is right most can make it up the Gate, it's really just a mental thing. You can talk yourself into running it, or talk yourself just as fast out of running it.

Pictures never do the obstacles justice. I have everything needed for this trip other than a family style cage and FI. They will be done before I make this trip (whenever that might be)!
