For those looking for a longer stock wheelbase with a good departure angle the CJ6 would get it done. Just saying.

Very true, but the CJ6 's are getting to be a rare vehicle. I don't want to beat on something like that. That's just me. I can always bobb the CJ8 if it becomes a problem, but I don't think I'm going to get that serious.

Thank you for caring. Sounds like you won't mind if I pester you (excuse me, pick your brain) when I start replacing the rear corners on the body since they're smashed in. :D

Since many jeeps are damaged in the rear corners by trailers and such corners are relatively easily available. No bobbing necessary. Bob a CJ8 and you have a CJ7 , there are lots of those available. Yes, I know not 100% CJ7 but close enough.

From the pics of the outside you did very good. If the floors, B pillars and underside is equally as good you did excellent.

If all looks as nice up close ........ SCORE, very nice. Only one corner actually needed, the other looks fixable. Nice!

I always wonder why this is so common on a jeep. Where the rear bumpers are the strength focal point on a pick up or SUV more often than not it's the front bumper that gets all the attention on a jeep. Your scrambler is very nicely set up in the front and bare at the rear.

There’s just some light surface rust underneath the body, “B” pillars look good along with the floor. It started out in Nebraska, then on to Utah, and the last 6 years in a barn in Maryland. The PO’s uncle backed into it with a backhoe. Looks like I’m running into my first hard to get part. The washers/gaskets that go through the hard top to do the three point seat belt conversion. That one looks like I’m going to have to get imaginative, but doesn't look too bad.

That's a great find, the corners are nothing compared to rust manage.
