Custom Dash for CJ Project

Custom Dash for CJ Project
Thats exactly what I was talking about. :notworthy:

I like #5! Double D did the dash in my CJ, which I am glad I did. It sure makes seeing the gauges a lot easier. I also moved the glove box so that it would not interfere with the roll cage.

I hate you right now just so you know I have to go buy more stuff because I'm stealing your switch idea

I feel bad that you must spend more money on your Jeep LOL.

Here is some help:

Gauge Panel Gasser Bomber Aviator Custom Aluminum 4 Bolt Dash Bezel 2 1 16" | eBay

Hot Rod Aviator Bomber Style Dash Panel Custom Safety Loops for Toggle Switches | eBay

this guy makes some nice stuff. I chose the four holed 2-1/16" bezels as they fit my stewart warner gauges and kinda looked like the speedo.

I have the drawings for the dash insert and the switch panel if you need them. I can export as a dxf, dwg and even a jpg if you want to make a paper template for drilling.

New reply to an old thread.

Another vote for Double D Fab. Here's the custom dash I recently took delivery of:

And the set of Autometer Custom Shop gauges that will go into it:

Note the Military style stencil numbers and letters.

Dan is the :dung: I have talked to him a few times about a few different customers dashes and always very helpful

Just a tag onto an old thread, but I have not been on the forum in a longlong time and am super happy with my Double D Dash.

The gauges are from Autometer and there is a radio in there now (Gabby is 'finished')

Dan was great to work with- this was design #3. He is fast and professional! I love the little touches, like the Jeep grill and CJ5 cut outs over the speakers on the outboard ends.

I had him add blinker indicator lights and they are installed red and green- as a professional sailor this makes me giggle every time I turn :)

I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of :dung: for it, so go ahead let'er rip.

This is in the " Just cause you can , doesnt mean you should" category for me. It seems intrusive and doesnt really fit a Cj theme to me. Its yours though so do as you will. :D

Xs 3 on the seats

This is in the " Just cause you can , doesnt mean you should" category, now that's good stuff.! Best reply yet. At least the seat idea worked.

I like that dash a lot, how much did it set you back

Around $380 which included shipping.

The custom autometer gauges were significantly more....

I like it but worry about Vickies knee hitting that. It doesnt look passenger friendly.
