Had my 78cj on jack stands yesterday to check an oil leak. I noticed the Dana 20 t case is not shifting into 4hi. The other ranges seem OK. I went through it a couple of years ago and it worked OK on the bench. The shifter is a little sloppy but the detent position seems to be there. Does anyone have any pics of the shift rail positions? It's got to be shifter related.

What happens when you try to go into 4WD high? Since 2WD high works I assume the front is not engaging.
The right shift rail is for the front. It sound like it might not be moving all the way out. (shift rail has to move forward or out of the case to drive the front drive shaft)
