1985 cj7 with 258 engine stock as far as i know. dana 30 front with t 176 tranny and danna 300 twin stick transfer case. amc 20 rear end on 6 inch lift with 36 inch tires
Hey guys I have a Dana 300 twin stick TC. 4×4 high works great but when both sticks are engaged into low, the indicator light comes on telling me that I'm engaged but the jeep acts as if I'm in nuetral. Is my low range shot or can it be something else?

What brand twin stick? Does it have adjustable linkage? I generally have to ease out the clutch while pushing on the sticks to get mine all the way in 4 Lo.

Danna 300 . I've tried easing out the clutch as well but since it acts like its in nuetral than there's no rolling into it. Everything seems to in all the right positions stick wise and linkage wise but there's nothing no matter what gear the tranny is in

You might try leaving the cover off so you can see the linkage while you move it.

My thought would be that the shifter linkage is not engaging low range, that could be verified with the cover off, its a good excuse to clean it out and add new oil anyway :chug:

OK thanks ill give it a try
