Which steering rods do I use? My stock ones, cut and lenghten them or the Dana 44 cut and modify them? Or a combination of both?

I am using the stock Scout steering tube with the larger tie rod ends. I am flipping them on top of the knuckle by using a tapered reamer. Right now for the drag link I was going to buy one for a Waggy and then cut and thread to the size I need. I don't know what knuckles you are running. I went with the Dana 30 parts so the steering section is shorter and the steering arm rod will hit the dif cover if it stays with the tie rod ends under. i have to go over the clear the dif cover plus it is a nice upgrade.

Reamers aren't cheap. (I used to be an air force machinist) Would you be willing to "rent" yours for a small fee?

Which reamers is it? A #1, 2, or 3 taper reamer? I think a 3 would be too big.

A generic tapered reamer is not expensive. I know which ones you are talking about. They come in the wood box with replaceable blades. This one almost looks like a step drill and you just go in as much as you need to. Sears has them and harbor freight as well.
