Engine Dauntless V6 Dipstick Tube

I just got a 1968 CJ5 with the Dauntless Buick 225 V6 V6. Somewhere along the line the dipstick tube got bent & the dipstick won't go in. I've looked everywhere and I can find the dipstick, but not the tube. Is there any kind of "universal" dipstick tube I can install?

Some earlier Dauntless Buick 225 V6 engines didn't have a tube. The stick went straight into the block. The part # for that dip stick is 1374247. Then there's the later ones that used a tube. That part # is 1352847. The lengths of these dip sticks are different. The tube rises roughly an inch above the nearby left valve cover and the dip-stick measures 22-5/8" from the tip to the bottom of the stopper. As for the tube itself, no luck in finding one available.

Dorman makes a number of different ones. Perhaps one would work.

I got to wondering - how tough would it be to just get some aluminum (or light steel) tubing (brake or Transmission line, etc) and make one? With that picture I posted, and knowing the length of the dip stick itself, it seems a few slight bends with a crimp at the bottom where it inserts into the block and a welded or clamped mounting "tab" and you'd have one.
