Misc dimmer switch location?

So tell me, what is the proper location for the dimmer switch on a 1980 CJ5 ? Pictures would help.

Are talking about the dash lights dimmer? It's built into the headlight switch on the left side of the steering column.

If your lalking about the headlight high / low beam selector switch, it is on the left floor board by the parking brake assembly.

The headlight hi/lol beam switch. The floor pans have been replaced and the switch was relocated up near the firewall by the e-brake cable passthrough.

As shown in the video I posted. I consider that part of the floor board.

That looks good. Just be sure it won't interfere with the parking brake pedal use.
BTW, if you have a GM type column (which you should), you can put in the turn signal switch with headlight high / low functionality and add a relay.

@Istandalone That is the factory position for the dimmer switch.
