Does the motor need to be supported if the Transmission and Transfer Case are out? I was going to replace the clutch since I have everything out and I have a jack stand supporting the motor on the bell housing. I obviously need to move the jack stand to replace the clutch. I just want to make sure the motor wont fall out or wreck something.

I do not know if it is needed, but I just replaced my clutch last weekend and had a tranny jack holding the Transmission and Transfer Case while removing it and a floor jack supporting the engine at the oil pan. Just to be safe. Maybe you can use a jack stand if you don’t have another jack

YES.
As far back as you can.
