I'm looking through the drum brake rebuild kits and they go 1974-1978 and 1978-1986. Mine is a 1978...

Looks like one is ten inch and the other eleven? Measure from the base of the drum housing?
 
'78 was a transition year for CJ drum brakes. Part way through the year, AMC switched sources and moved from the 11"x2" brake shoes to the 10"x1.75". Remove the drum and measure the inside diameter across the drum. You can also check the backing plate, as it will be close to the drum diameter, which helps determine the correct size. And if I recall, the '78 had finned drums in the rear for 11" and not finned for 10".
