Ok everyone as soon as I can get my camera to work or go buy another one I will have some pictures may even try to put a thread together. So this is how it started I came home from Oriellys with more parts and the wife said "whats that". I told her parts and she said go get the money out of the bank and make the D*** thing run. So as a Good husband I started. My jeep has been sitting in my yard since I bought it in January. So I called a friend up and he came and picked the jeep up to take it to his shop. We get there and get all the wiring pulled out and begin to see what all that is going to have to be fixed or replaced. Diagnosis now it new clutch, new water pump, new radiatior, new distributor or fix the one that I have (points are burned up), carb rebuild, new wiring harness, and new plugs and wires. He also decided that the rust should be fixed before we put the tranny and engine back in. So my other very close friend came and picked it up and we began working on the body as well. Replacing rocker panels, and patching and floor pans. Ok now to the ? at hand, what kind of distributor and wires and plugs do I need to go back with. The jeep has a 360 out of 1971 amc javelin in it with a t 18 mounted up behind. I'm not wanting to break the bank but while it can be done I want to do what I can. The wife wants this thing running and ready asap. I asked her if she knew what that would cost and she said do it. I guess though not to bad I think we bought the jeep for 1100 or 1200 to begin with. I've already bought new wiring harness (ez), radiator, new gaskets, new starter, new batt, and other misc. items. So any advice while doing this would be greatly appreciative. I hopefully have some pics loaded up later this week.

cheapest would be a stock distributer setup. if it has points in it now i would get a pertronix electronic ignition to put in the stock distributer. good old standard wires and new plugs would work fine to.
